A look back at references we visited to inform our concept design. Based on feedback from this moodboard, we refined our direction and created the designs to come.
Connection & Movement: The curved form of the Wisdom Exchange wordmark reflects the living nature of osteopathy itself.
Rather than sitting rigid and linear, the typography moves in a gentle arc suggesting flow, alignment and the transfer of knowledge between people. The curve subtly mirrors the human spine and the organic rhythm of the body, reinforcing that osteopathy is not mechanical or clinical alone, but intuitive and embodied. This movement also represents exchange: of wisdom travelling from one practitioner to another, across generations and across the globe.
The Dot Motif: The small olive dots act as points of connection. They serve as visual punctuation; moments of emphasis, presence and intention. Conceptually, they represent:
The individual practitioner within the wider profession
A point of knowledge being shared
The spark of insight in a learning moment
Throughout the brand system, these dots can appear as markers, anchors or subtle highlights, reinforcing the idea that every exchange begins with a single point of connection.
Our proposed palette finds its balance in the contrast between traditional wisdom and innovative thought. Deep, earth-derived tones anchor the identity, referencing the academic rigour of your practice, while vibrant highlights signal a forward-thinking, modern edge.
The ‘hero’ greens, Olive and Moss, provide a natural foundation, sharpened by the high-contrast clarity of Mist and Juniper. To ground the brand, we utilise the deeper skin tones of Ochre and Blush. These are offset by spirited accents of Aloe Vera, Spearmint, Somatic Orange, and Periwinkle, to be used with restraint when injecting a sense of modern energy and unexpected fun.
Our typography suite is designed to be grounded and academic, prioritising accessibility and legibility.
The heading serif, Nordic Salt, conveys a sense of approachable authority; its tall letterforms feel scholarly and established without becoming intimidating. For long-form body text, Geist provides a modern, functional, and exceptionally clear reading experience.
To add texture and emphasis, the script font Pretty Letters injects an organic, expressive touch. Finally, Geist Mono serves as a structural tool. Ideal for eyebrow text, labels, and UI elements, it breaks up dense layouts with a clean, monospaced rhythm.
Branches. Networks. Lineage. The abstract pattern is inspired by branching forms, referencing both nature and neural networks. These can be interpreted as:
Tree branches (lineage, growth, roots)
Fascial pathways within the body
Networks of practitioners connecting across geographies
Knowledge radiating outward
The imperfect, organic quality ensures it never feels corporate or sterile. Instead, it feels lived-in and human. When used in the website and collateral, the pattern becomes a quiet backdrop, suggesting that wisdom is always there, woven through the profession, even when not immediately visible.
It creates visual depth while reinforcing the core idea of connectivity.
Below are some examples of how the branding can be translated to other collateral touchpoints. Think tote bags, slide decks, uniforms, social media campaigns, stickers, business stationery. The possibilities are endless 🤩
We invite you to sit with this direction over the next few days and let the concept settle. We look forward to hearing your consolidated feedback, and continuing to craft your brand’s exciting new identity.
